Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth
This is a funny book with boring and happy settings, the only problem for a certain Prez being his grandfather’s dementia which after some events, leads to him being a ‘Temporary kid’ in the countryside. He lives there with a foster family and all is normal until Sputnik, an alien, comes along. He turns Prez’s world upside down breaking the laws of Physics and other things while they try to save Earth. It is cliché but with humour and significantly less fear and danger – excepting a few moments, *cough lightsabers cough*- it is therefore better suited for younger readers. The plot is decent but that humour is the glue that holds this book together. This book really shows what you can do when you read the instructions manual on life in general.
