The Bone Sparrow
I wanted to read this book because I saw it was written about a very current issue that needs to be discussed: immigration. The book handles the issue very well, and it is told through the eyes of a child, which makes the book even more touching. I particularly liked how the protagonist has such a vivid imagination, and he dreams of a new, happy life. However, there is also a range of beautifully presented supporting characters, including Jimmie, a dyslexic girl who befriends the protagonist. However, having so many characters did get a bit confusing at times. Despite this, I thought that the book was absolutely brilliant, especially the ending, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to make a change to the world.
