The Stars at Oktober Bend

This book is unique in its own way, and while the authors intentions are original and abstractly real, this book let me down. Its backstory is good but the plot is boring, it is no differet than any other love story with an obstacle in their path. it doesnt show enough sympathy to be a successful tragedy or enough mystery or light to be anything more. "The Stars at Oktober Bend," is a story of a 15 year old girl, Alice, who at the age of 12 was a victim of rape, she was after hit hard on the head nd has been mentally unstable ever since. while she finds it hard to express herself through speech, she learns to communicate through her poetry, which is left unread and she is left lonely, until Manny falls in love with her words.
Overall i believe that the idea was badly expressed and there were no suprises during the story. since there was nothing forcing me to turn the page I would rate it a 3/10.
