The Smell of Other People's Houses
'The Smell of Other People's Houses' was quite dull. I never got properly into it and it wasn't really my type of book. It was, however, written beautifully. The words flowed and linked together perfectly. Unfortunately, I just found it boring. The book is basically about four young people and their lives while growing up in Alaska. Ruth, Dora, Alyce and Hank are these four young people learning about the hardships and difficulties of growing up. I really thought about the story line and tried to understand it but it just became harder to understand. If I was to recommend this book to anyone, I would recommend it to people who like a more real life sort of story.
