Dom, The John Mason Readers

Where the World Ends

Where The World Ends is a brilliant book, all about a small Scottish island, a crew of fowlers and a girl called John. It starts on the island of Kilda, just off the Scottish Coast, and the annual trip to Warrior Stacc to collect garefowl to feed the island. When the boat hasn't arrived to pick the boys up, the self-appointed 'Minister' Col Cane convinces everyone that the world has ended, and turns every day of the week into a Sunday.

I really enjoyed the book as it was written in a way that really made you respond to the injustice the principal protagonist, Quilliam had forced upon him. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a mystery and likes a story that truly makes you think.
