The Bone Sparrow

In my opinion, The Bone Sparrow ingeniously coils folk stories and the harsh reality of migrant detention camps to produce an exiting, but sometimes confusing concoction of love, friendship, hate and death.
Overall, I would say that The Bone Sparrow was a good book but it was sometimes hard to differentiate between the characters from the folk tale and the actual people. I would give this book a 7/10 and recommend it to a high level reader looking for a challenge.
