Wild Animals of the North

In my opinion, this is the best Greenaway book so far. Firstly, the use of modernistic geometric shapes really helps to enhance the wildness which emerges in all of the animals. The harsh edges and deep colours present in these shapes also reflects that non of they animals are domestic. Secondly, the font used also helped dramatically to enhance the conditions in which they live in. The rough edges, deep brown colour and shading help to give it a texture; perfect for the theme of the book. Finally, the front and back cover display animals. While I do believe that the front itself could have showcased more of the wild animals, both of the main pages combined really helped to make way for the huge array of animals included in the book, with both smooth, realistic and geometric drawings included.
