This book started off as a disaster. A setting that I thought would be tedious and annoying with a plot so dull I'd rather reread 'Ghosts of Heaven' by Marcus Sedgewick.
However, as the story continued, I was captivated. The themes presented and genuine emotions I felt towards certain characters really made for a surreal experience.
Shame about the poor build-up.
