The Bone Sparrow
The Bone Sparrow is a great and inspirational book that tells us of the harsh and inhumane treatment of the asylum seekers who were fleeing war. The treacherous world ‘behind the fence’ is shocking yet believable as it happens in the world today. However this book teaches us there is light at the end of the tunnel. Jimmie is a true inspirational figure as he brought Subhi food, water and the love he needed which kept him going through hard times.
This book was great because it wasn’t like any typical book which are boring and predictable. This book was very intriguing with a twist and turn in every corner. I also liked this book because it raises awareness of human rights and how we treat our own kind, it is a great eye-opener to the world we live in today.
