Theo, Chesterton, the EAL Adventure

Salt to the Sea

Ten thousand people. One Target: life. Salt to the sea is a history fiction novel that remembers the catastrophe of the German ship Wilhelm Gustloff sinking and making nearly ten thousand people drowned and dead in the sea. In this book, three refugees stand out the most: Joanna, Emilia and Florian.Three very different characters with different perceptions. Although their circumstances were not real during the actual period, many of the refugees could have been in these circumstances during the Second World War. This book is outstanding with plenty of surprises and opportunities to reflect as you read along. I like it and I would rate it 4/5 because nothing is perfect. Wish there was a film of it!
