Luka, St Leonard's Catholic School

Rook

An amazing book! I really enjoyed reading it - I loved the style of writing and the actual story was gripping. With short sentences and lots of dialogue, it's an easy read.

The book is about a boy who has a younger brother with learning difficulties and together they find a rook (a kind of crow) being attacked by a sparrowhawk but they manage to save it.

Even though it's such a short book, it has lots of themes such as family affection and difficulties, bullying (because of his brother being different), and a first crush.
I would recommend this book.
