The Smell of Other People's Houses
Reading this book was like travelling back in time, to 1970s' Alaska. It was easy to emphasize with the characters and their problems. I identified with them because, as this story is so well written, you enter their lives.
I loved how the four protagonists are connected in the most unexpected way and how they overcome their difficulties. Ihe Smell of Other People's Houses is very engaging. Each chapter ends with a cliffhanger and this made me want to keep reading.
The novel transmits a strong message about family being the greatest form of love and support and how people who are not related by blood can also be family. It also shows how you important fate can be. Chance can change your life completely.
