"Annabelle has lived in Wolf hollow all her life; a quiet place, still scared by two world wars. But when cruel, manipulative Betty arrives in town, Annabelle's calm world is shattered, along with everything she has ever known about right and wrong."
Wolf Hollow is all about 12 year old Annabelle who's life turns upside down when Betty Glengarry moved into Wolf Hollow. Annabelle was living a peaceful life on her farm until Betty showed up to school one day. Betty used to live in the city but now lives in Wolf Hollow with her grandparents. One day after school Betty threatened Annabelle that if she didn't give her something she would hit her. Little did Annabelle know that if she made the wrong choice, things could get worse. MUCH worse. One day Betty didn't turn up to school and she wasn't at home either. Toby is Wolf Hollow's strange resident which means he is framed for Betty's disappearance. Will Annabelle make the right decision? Is Betty a bully? Is Toby to blame for Betty's disappearance? Will Betty ever reappear again?
I really like this book because it tells the tale of a really mean person and a victim. It's also very descriptive and easy to follow. By the title, I wouldn't pick up this book because I don't really like wolves so this wouldn't be my first choice.
I would recommend this book for 11+ as it can get confusing.
I really hope you enjoy this book by Lauren Wolk!
