The Bone Sparrow

The bone sparrow was a moving special story which strongly emphasised the unfortunate truths of the lives of millions of refugees lead through vivid imagery and sensitive passionate language. Told from a child's perspective it conveys the value of friendship yet the betrayal of trusted ones and naïve thoughts of a child in an adult world which pulled heartstrings and really made you think about how and why these things happen and what you would do in the same situation. I did enjoy this book though despite the tragedies told and would definitely recommend it. Gratefully, this book also has a warm happy ending which sadly might not be true for some in real life though.
