The Bone Sparrow
"The Bone Sparrow" was a very genuine and shocking book. The story tells of a young boy named Subhi born and raised in a refugee camp. Subhi knows nothing about the outside world nor what it's like. The camp has a shortage of water, food and others major supplies, although Subhi knows no different. One day a young girl called Jimmie finds the Refugee camp and this takes a whole twist on what Subhi believes is real. There are several other characters who also make this tale worth the time to read.
I think this book was amazing and thoroughly important because there are many people experiencing these awful problems in real life in Australia to this day. I think this novel is really genuine because the everyday struggles Subhi goes through are everyday struggles for others in the world. My favourite character was definitely Eli because I thought he understood Subhi even though he wasn't always in the same situation as him.
I recommend this book to all ages and give it 5 stars.
