Zainab A, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls

Railhead

I loved reading Railhead by Philip Reeve and enjoyed every second of it. When I first looked at the front cover I immediately found out that it was science-fiction, which was really not my type of genre. As I got further into the book I got engrossed within it. The book is full of suspense as the girl in the red coat keeps coming and then disappearing. We don’t find out who she actually is until nearly half way through the book where Zen Starling meets her for the first time so that he can travel on the railway with her. The starting is very peculiar and not like any other book I’ve read. It starts off with Zen stealing a necklace from a shop, and books I have read usually begin calmly. As I really don’t like Science-fiction book, this book is amazing and would definitely recommend it to anyone who has not read it yet. I really love this book and could be one of my favourite books as the plot is very interesting. I didn’t just enjoy the book, as I was reading I felt as if I was actually inside the book, right beside Zen Starling!
