Mrs C, King James's Royal Readers
A sensitive story dealing with loyalty, friendship, family, prejudice, the truth and bullying.
Annabelle believes in justice; her feelings of what is right and wrong, the way she paints a picture of her surroundings and perceptively describes people allows you to see her world clearly.
I loved the relationship she has with her parents, her brothers and Toby; the way she dealt with bullying, her need for fairness and for the truth to be told and how she grew up through the book. A very powerful story told in a deceptively simple way.
