The Bone Sparrow

I enjoyed this book very much. It is a very descriptive book which explains how people are kept in refugee camps. The story narrates how a boy,Subhi, who was born in the refugee camp deals with all of the horrible conditions he lives in. Subhi loves stories and as he explains, they are his version of memories from the outside, because he has none. My favourite aspect was how Subhi foundit perfectly normal to get nibbled by rats in your sleep or to eat food which is various months off. It is a very emotional book and by the end you totally emphasise with what Subhi does and feels. Overall I would give it 8/10.
