Murtaza, Fagley Famous Five (+ one)

Town is by the Sea

This book is about emotions and feelings. The boy's father works every day in the coal mine. The little boy, who misses his father, is sad and doesn't want his father to be injured. I like the pictures of the sea because they are beautiful and calm. I also enjoyed the part when the boys went to the park because they had fun on the swings. I wondered why the book didn't say the boys name? Why doesn't the picture of the boy have a mouth? This book reminds me of my Grandfather because when he was buried he was facing towards the sea.
I would recommend this book to younger children because it is very easy to read.
I would rate this book 9/10
