The Stars at Oktober Bend
I am so disappointed in this book. I got up to about page 50 and I was done.
My friends had read it and had said it was bad also, but I still had high hopes as they said it was a 'wordy' book, which I enjoy more than them.
Too wordy, none of it made sense! The characters were strange, no proper description of them, so I had no idea who they were!
I think one of the main reasons I didn't enjoy it was the amount of poetry. I don't enjoy poetry normally, and I didn't when reading the book, so that put me of.
I even admit to skipping part of the poetry (and some of the normal writing).
As well as that, it seemed to be a romance book (however I have no idea from the book, this is from the blurb) and they aren't really my style of books.
Overall, do not recommend and don't think it deserves to win.
