Where the World Ends

'Where the world Ends' is a very hard hitting book as it shows a few children's worst nightmare. It really shows the reality of surviving and coping whilst being in some of the worst circumstances.
This book as about a group of boys who, every summer, go to a remote island away from their own. However, when their boat has disappeared, the boys have no other choice but to try and stay alive day by day. Many of them get ill and catch diseases. Dreadful things come across throughout this novel and are quite hard to bear.
My favourite character would have to be Quill, because he tries to look after little Davie, and I thought that was very nice of him and it sort of came across as a brotherly relationship.
I would give this book 4 stars, as I thought the first few chapters dragged on for a bit, which slightly put me off, but it did turn out interesting near the end. I would recommend this book to people who like adventures, as these boys came across many.
