Max and Zoe, Discerning Dunelmians

Saint Death

We do not believe Saint Death should win the Carnegie Book award. This is because we feel the plot of the story could have been a lot better. The book itself is well presented: we especially liked the single page pieces scattered around the book. We both enjoyed the actual writing style, too, however the plot was not what we were expecting. We felt that it could have gone on a completely different tangent than it did, and that some scenes could be described more vividly to add extra effect. Overall, it is a well presented book with good writing style, but the plot was its main let down.
