Where the World Ends

Where the World Ends is an intriguing and exciting book with some good characters and descriptions. The original idea was excellent, although I felt the book took a while to get going, as, for the first half, the characters were just stuck on an island and nothing much happened. I thought the pace changed too much but I managed to follow the story line well enough. The general descriptions were very good and detailed, conveying a range of emotions and setting the scene well. The ending was strange but good, but I would not recommend this book if you don't cope well with sad endings. Overall, I think this book was of a good standard but it did certainly need some improvements and I don't think it is worthy of winning.
