Charlie, CSI Peterborough (Carnegie Shadowing Investigators)
The Smell of Other People's Houses
A very interesting historical novel, with the problems the characters face not down to war or other usual themes, but just general problems in the area at the time. I liked the multiple perspectives, and how everything was shown in slightly different ways, but also found this confusing and only near the end had I really worked out who each character was and how they were relevant. I also found the ending, in which all their lives do become 'entangled' slightly anti climactic, though in general I did like the overall story. However, at points during the book I did lose track of what was going on.
