Saint Death

Saint Death portrays a very real situation - the drugs and violence in some parts of Mexico - in a very well written manner. Yes there are some parts were you are shouting at the main character , but this is only because you care, unlike Beyond the Bright Sea. Describing the poverty, violence and drug lords who prowl the streets of Northern Mexico, this heart stopping novel tells the story of a young man helping a friend and a card game that will inevitably be his destruction. A thought provoking and realistic story that will stay with me for a long time. I give this book 4.5/5 stars.
