Lewis, Sir John's Shadowers
There isn't much to say about this book as it is really short, but I'll try my best.
The author's interpretation of depression as smoke was a clever idea because the smoke would consume you and cloud your mind (excuse the pun). Dragons are shown as the source of the smoke which makes sense as dragons usually breathe smoke. The story is about a girl who is constantly being followed by a dragon. She tries to run away from it but it always caught up with her. However, I did not understand the ending and only realised that it was about depression when someone told me. Personally this book left me confused when I finished it because I didn't feel satisfied with the ending. Not really sure what kind of person I would recommend this to.
