Asastasia, St Helen and St Katharine
Wed Wabbit is a funny adventure story, about a girl called Fidge. Fidge had always despised her younger sister Minnie’s favourite toy: Wed Wabbit. When Minnie goes into hospital, Fidge and her annoying cousin are flung into a very odd world, and the only way to escape and help Minnie is to solve several bizarre clues and battle the evil Wed Wabbit!
I didn’t enjoy this book as I felt the language and plot was aimed at a younger audience (e.g.7-9). The storyline was very predictable, so somewhat boring. Fidge’s character is quite intelligent and somehow (almost unbelievably) knew what to do in every situation.
I think that Lissa Evans could have made a brilliant ending of this story, instead she kept it disappointingly short and simple.
I rate Wed Wabbit 6/10 because I think that younger readers might enjoy it!
