Wolf Hollow

This novel tells the story of a young girl named Annabelle who lives in a place called Wolf Hollow. She meets a new girl at her school, Betty Glengarry who begins to bully and threaten her as well as her two younger brothers.

I wasn't completely satisfied with this book because I thought it lacked dramatic action to create more suspense and make it more gripping. I became a little bored with it since the story seemed to be moving too slowly which caused it to become a bit dull. In addition, I had always imagined that I would discover Betty's past and Toby's at the end of the book, and the reason for their odd behaviour (eg: Betty's cruelty) but I didn't.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading about the other characters such as Annabelle as I found I could relate to her easily. I thought the setting was well constructed and I liked the author's style of writing.
