Anna, Exeter School
The Bone Sparrow
Subhi has lived in the refugee detention centre all his life. He dreams of wandering past the fences that have surrounded him his whole life. Once his best friend is sent to a different part of the compound, and when he meets a young adventurous a girl called Jimmie, he sneaks through a weak spot in the fence. All he knows changes and life suddenly gets a lot more interesting.
This is a good book but I felt that it took too long to start and the reader could be given more information at the start but overall I really enjoyed this book and it gives an insight into what living in a refugee detention centre might be like.
