After the Fire
Out of all the 8 books this has to be my favourite.
It was very clever how the author changed between before the fire and after the fire, and when it was before the fire she was telling the therapists what was happening.
This book is about a man who leads a cult, Father John Parsons.
Moonbeam writes the story and it seems shocking some of the references the author uses.
This book was long, but I felt each page told you a lot and kept you informed. I liked how the main parts you discovered are not bunched together. This book was very surprising and I’m surprised there was a pretty happy ending.
My favourite book and I think this is a very strong contender to win the Carnegie Medal.
