Release by Patrick Ness was a book of themes that I have not yet explored or seen in many books. The book is about a gay boy's feelings and experiences as he prepares to come out and tell his family and the world who he really is. This book ventures into explicit details of Adam's (the main character) sexual relationships with a number of different boys. I feel as though this book is very relevant to now and that many people in a similar situation would take interest in this book and it is them that this book is targeted at. This is not a book that I would specifically read due to its content but it was a good book to expand my knowledge. Patrick Ness also intertwines a fantastical story that weaved in and out of the main story that was clever.
