Wild Animals of the North

This book is an encyclopedia of wild animals of the north, with a short paragraph of text and illustrated in a form of cubism.
I think that the way Dieter Braun portrays the beautiful movement is absolutely thrilling, extremely life like and really realistic. I also like the way that the colours are very contrasting to the character itself, for often when there is a dark and more cold creature, Dieter has coloured the background with slightly more warm colours. I also like the way that Dieter has sometimes made the creatures stand out by fading and blurring the background.
I rate this book 9 out of 10, as I would have made the font slightly bigger, but, apart from that, it is really good.
I would recommend this book for 9 to 11 year olds as I don't think really young kids would find it interesting.
