After the Fire

Life inside a cult. A girl called Moonbeam. A terrible fire. After The Fire by Will Hill explores the themes of religion and faith in a captivating way. We are forced to question: Who do we trust? And why do we trust them? After The Fire follows the story of Moonbeam in the aftermath of a devastating fire inside the fence, a fence that many have never seen the other side of. Each chapter in this story is titled either After or Before as we jump between two timelines, seeing Moonbeam talk to a psychologist after the fire and witnessing her memories from before the fire. As the story develops we begin to piece together what happened, why events unfolded as they did, and to see Father John for who he really is. I particularly loved to watch the developing relationship between Agent Carlyle and Moonbeam. This book was a nail-biting read from start to finish that I could not put down! There are some great twists and turns. I highly recommend this book!
