The Wolves of Currumpaw

The Wolves of Currumpaw is a brilliant book because the illustrations are wonderful and intriguing. Also, in addition, the writing and illustrations are evenly spaced out making it easier to read. I think the author made sure the story was short and was keen to make short sentences to create suspense and the illustrations helped do this. The author (who is also the illustrator) draws in a clear but scruffy way making the illustrations look like really cool cave paintings. Also, he concentrates on the background scenery to make us visualise what is going to happen next. Overall I think this is a brilliant book.
