Renata, Avon Valley Carnegie Champions
The story is actually pretty bloody and scary, because when they get children from Canada and send them to different families to work, it is true.
I feel sorry for Beck, because he is different because of his skin colour, everyone hates him. I found this very unfair, in that time period they treat the black people badly.
I love that part when he meets Bone and how he saves him.
But, the best part is when he meets a girl whose name is Grace, and Beck learned that love is possible to him as well.
I don't like one thing, which is that the story has many bad words.
I give 9 out of 10!
