Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth
Despite the negative feedback that this book has received, I personally enjoyed it for its context and plot. This book was about a mute boy named Prez, who finds purpose when an alien named sputnik gives him the worlds most important mission. But will earth be saved? What will happen to Prez? Firstly, I liked this book because it was unique in comparison to all the other Carnegie books. While the remaining books are all quite heartfelt, emotional and dark, this turned out to be a bit of light reading which I enjoyed whole heartedly. Nevertheless, it was still rich with details, another surprise aspect I thoroughly enjoyed. Secondly, I like this book because of the description. Much like all the other books, the description and emotion in this book were outstanding; really providing an atmosphere worthy of experiencing. I have to admit, quite a lot of aspects were exceptionally far fetched despite it being a book about aliens. In short, I would recommend this book for younger ages, not necessarily those who are more mature.
