Millicent, Malvern St James MSJ
The Bone Sparrow
So far, during the book, it has been quite interesting and very intriguing. I like how the author jumps straight into the story to grasp your attention to make you want to read on. With the chapter I have read, I have found it fairly enjoyable but the names and accents confuse me with my pronunciation. I would like to find out what was so important about the main characters because it seems to me they are just wandering around the detention centre and are up to no good. I feel the characters aren’t interesting and I have feelings or care for them, in all honesty I do not mind what disasters may happen to them. I would recommend this to others because it is a story of emotions and will catch your attention. In the first chapter you meet Eli and in my perspective he doesn’t belong in the detention centre because he has no respect for the things around him. In the story there is a shortage of food which is bothering many of the refugees and causing upset.
