Paris, THE BOOK OF SECRETS 8
This book was very moving at times. Especially when Adam had to try and get his very Christian family to try and accept him. It feels like this book is very mature, which could please the older audience however for younger readers such as myself it could be considered inappropriate. Nonetheless, the book addresses issues such as sexual harassment and homophobia in a way that could be relatable for people experiencing those things and in a way that wouldn’t be offensive to anyone because it’s got “stereotypical” or “common” views on the issues gay people have so there’s no complex opinion that could be argued. Overall I thought the book was very emotional and current throughout. I recommend it for older audiences. One thing that I found interesting about this book is that the entire book is set in one day. All the things happening basically happen in one day with a few flashbacks. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I hope anyone else who reads it enjoys it too.
