Salt to the Sea

Salt to the Sea is my favourite book out of all of the shadowing books. This is because it includes perspectives from lots of different characters who's stories all connect. It also shows the reality of life in the war and how it affected different groups of people. This book is probably aimed at older/teen audiences who prefer stories set in the past. The author bases some parts of the story on real life which helps you connect and empathise with the characters. The characters range from young to old which highlights how the war affected everyone. Salt to the Sea is a very moving, interesting and well written book which I would recommend to lots of people.
