Tabbie, King James's Royal Readers

Wolf Hollow

I wasn't expecting what happens in this book. I'm normally very quick at working out what the twist is going to be, if there is going to be one at all, but this book kept surprising me the whole way through!

I had a lot of conflicting emotions about Betty as I felt sorry for her as a lot of awful things happened to her, however I also felt like she got what she deserved and was a really awful bully who caused a lot of harm. I was also furious when she wouldn't own up to her wrongdoings and instead kept blaming it on innocent onlookers.

Another thing that really annoyed me was the attitude of Becky's Grandparents and the way they believed she was a perfect angel who could never do anything wrong. I believe it was this attitude that allowed Becky to think she could do whatever she wanted and never get caught or confronted about it as this was what happened at home.
