The Smell of Other People's Houses
I found this book very interesting and I can’t say that I thought it was bad but at the same time I can’t say that I particularly liked it. I found that it was rather dragged out and that you could just see the end coming. The parts where a bit of excitement was added was a hit and miss as they appeared a rather poor effort. The stories of the different characters could have been released as entirely different mini books which I quite liked: and the way the people were bounced backwards and forwards, I also found fairly interesting. My favourite character had to be Ruth as after her being the first person to tell a story she became somewhat special to me. Especially with her gran always around the corner, her story always seemed more personal. On the whole I didn't prefer this book over the others I've read so far but there are more to come!
