-, NLCS Senior School
Although Rook was a very quick read, the level of detail and depth of character was superb. The connection between the main character and the reader quickly formed, and was surprisingly profound. The emotions portrayed were truthful and genuine, and highly believable, the plot seemed slightly unrealistic, especially given the age of the main character. The depiction of a school was stereotypical, with the traditional male bully and a female love interest.
