Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth

'Sputnik's Guide to Life on Earth', is a funny and quirky book written by the best selling author Frank Cottrell Boyce. It follows the adventures of Prez and Sputnik in their pursuit to save Earth from destruction. The book dabbles in some touching themes and has some powerful and evocative sections.
I found this an enjoyable and easy read, and found myself laughing out loud at some sections.
Although this was a brilliant book, there were some downsides. I felt like Cottrell Boyce was (very strongly) inspired by Douglas Adams' novel 'The Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy'and I feel that some of the ideas were very close to the book. I also felt the ending ended in a bad way, and I would have written a different happier ending that fit the overall tone of the book.
