Ben, Turton & Edgworth C.E. Methodist Primary School
This is a very long book but a very good book. The first half is made up of drawings which tell us a story about a boy called Billy Marvels and his family, set a long time ago, starting in 1766. Even though there were no words, I did understand what the pictures were trying to tell me. The second half of the book is a written story about a boy Joseph who goes to live with his Uncle who is really famous and has a big house. This is set in more recent times starting in 1990. Towards the end of the book, the two stories become linked. I really like this book and it held my interest.I think that it is suitable for children aged 7+. I would give it 10/10.
