The Smell of Other People's Houses
The Smell of Other People's Houses is set in Alaska, 1970. It tells the tale of four people: Ruth, Dora, Alyce and Hank and how their stories interwine. The writer changes the point of view when they change chapters, a bit like Salt to the Sea, which makes the story a little bit confusing, but you eventually get used to this. The characters all have different personalities and that adds a tiny bit of fun into it. The story is quite good and you wouldn't even want to put the book down. I really like this book.
