How do we use your information?

We use the information to help us understand more about how our web site is used and to improve our site. We may also send you information which we think may be of interest to you unless you have informed us otherwise.

When do we share information?

We do not sell your personal information to others.

We do get requests from journalists working in the fields of press, radio and television, for information about groups taking part in the Carnegie Greenaway Shadowing Scheme. Unless you inform us that you do not wish to be included in the list of groups that may be contacted, your group will be considered. As a general rule, we let you know in advance if a journalist is likely to contact you.

A number of other people's web sites have links on our site. If you link to their sites, they may collect information. Such sites are not within our control and are not covered by this privacy statement.

If we believe that your use of the site is unlawful or damaging to others, we reserve the right to disclose the information we have obtained through the site about you to the extent that it is reasonably necessary in our opinion to prevent, remedy or take action in relation to such conduct.

Children

Children under 13 should ask a parent, guardian or teacher for permission before sending us information online. All e-mails sent to our web site from children have to be checked by the Group Leader before being displayed in the Postroom section. The children's names will not appear in full beside their e-mail messages. We will not enter into any correspondence with individual children.
Where digital photographs of Shadowing Groups are displayed on the web site, we will ensure that there will be no identifying information other than the name of the Group. However, Groups should be aware that parental consent should be sought prior to submitting any photographs of children to the web site.
