Our Reading Club

This is last year's Carnegie Club picture, a new one will be put up soon. We are a select group of individuals who love books, meeting throughout the year and discussing ones we have read and other interesting ideas and topics over juice and biscuits. Sometimes we do other things like make bookmarks and visit libraries to listen to authors. Many of us help out as library assistants in our school library too. 2010 will be the second year that our librarian has shadowed the Carnegie award and she is really excited about it as 2009 was so good! In 2009 we also shadowed the Kate Greenaway Medal. Our library has encouraged many young writers in our school, even a pupil who is writing a full time book!! Our library is great and we all love it.
