We're a motley Carnegie Crew

We shadowed the Carnegie Award for the first time this year. We set ourselves the challenge of reading all eight shortlisted books because we wanted to read outside of our comfort zones and explore genres we wouldn't normally try. We are the motley Carnegie Crew: Hanna, Aryaman, Haysam, Flora, Layla, Aaminah. Year 6 and 7 pupils at St Aubyn's School in Essex. We met every Tuesday lunchtime in the School Library with Mrs Scott, our School Librarian. We completed lots of activities relating to the books and we even got to meet Sally Gardner and Sarah Crossan at the Rose Theatre for a Carnegie Spectacular Event.
