Yoshita, King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls

Rebound is the first book I read and is honestly quite interesting. The first bit it quite confusing, but as the story builds up, you get more engaged in the story. The free verse story follows a young boy named Charlie and his life after the death of his father.
When Charlie’s mum decides to send her son to his grandparents, Charlie isn’t very keen on the idea.
He finds that he isn’t the only one mourning about his father, and plenty of secrets are revealed
But his small world opens up to a huge new world about basketball. He finds himself extremely good at the sport and with the help of his strict grandfather and his cousin Roxie, Charlie’s life changes.
Rebound is a touching story and a very easy read. After grieving about his father, Charlie’s simple world changes, and it is an inspiring story.
I would totally recommend if you are looking for an easy, but touching story.
