Where the World Ends
Where the World Ends is an upsetting story that follows the main protagonist, Quilliam while he, along with others, is left deserted on an island when no-one comes to collect them. The story goes very slow and is quite boring to start off with, however I feel that this is done for effect to show how boring and repetitive the boy and men’s life is on the island. I found the change of perspective at the end a surprising and uplifting ending to the book. This was a really good book with lots of twists but I’m not sure whether it would be a winner for me because of the slow paced beginning. I would recommend this for slightly older readers due to some complicated language and the complex plot.
