Alexandra, Carnegie and Cake
I really enjoyed this book. I found the story line uplifting and full of hope. I really like how it was written in blank verse because I feel that this adds a sense of uniqueness and feels almost like a diary entry, making you feel more connected in a way to the characters.
However, I don't think that some of the characters were developed enough - for example, CJ. She was introduced as just a friend and didn't really develop any further than that. I would have liked CJ to have been a love interest for Charlie as this would have linked into the the ending which introduces their children. The ending of the book just all felt a little abrupt.
